Ahh, Dark Age EX. Not only is this the third Dark Age game released, but it is also the best!

So yeah, this review is here to tell you how great this game really is!

Graphics: 8/10
These graphics are pretty good, yet some of them could have used abit of improvment.
The character sprites were the same ones from the original Dark Age. Not the best sprites that a TK game could have. The other graphics, on the other hand, were the best I've ever seen in a TK game, ever! The battle backgrounds I think were made in Blender, and the profiles, enemies, and cutscenes were made in Photoshop. Pretty good.

Music: 9/10
This game did indeed inculde a kick- soundtrack by the great Rueben, but unlike Dark Age 2, EX also contained a couple MIDIs that were ripped from other games(i.e. Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, Castlevania, Mega Man, and even The Jewel of Destiny!) Yet in the final version, Xorlak remixed these MIDIs into amazing MP3 tracks.

Programming: 10/10
Think about it. If you read the game's profile, and saw that Xorlak made this game, you propably already know the answer to this....Or, you can always accually look at the score I gave to the programming.
The battle system was very simaler to the one in Dark Age 2, but now, while Dark Age 2's BS supported 1 character, and 2 enemies, DAX's BS supports 5 characters, and 6 enemies! It also has been remodeled abit more to be like in the original Dark Age.
The menu system was also simaler to the programming in DA2.

Story: 10/10
This game has the exact same story as the original Dark Age.
Main characters(MEGA SPOILERS!!):



Vance, young General of Varda.
Darius, young General of Celena.
Erik, mystery man that transforms into different creatures.
Dr. Science, scientist that makes several wacky inventions.
Grednat, Master Wizard.
Sheila and Brik, a Duo of criminals escaped from jail.
Mortis, evil wizard with Black Magic.

First 5 are the party members, and the others are the main villians in the game.

Overall Fun: 9/10
Best TK game ever! End of story.

Too bad it can't be surpassed. Kinda unfair if you ask me. :(
